This week was very hectic. We continue to make stead progress though so that is good. The biggest achievement this week was we gained some more help from collaborators and we were able to host a work-party / team meeting. The team meeting is important so that everyone can get to know the team better and they can get to know us. The work party was also great so we could have all the collaborators get immediate feedback from our director and make changes/edits much more quickly.
The overall work-party was a success, we had all the team leads and a few other members in attendance. This Saturday allowed us to get a lot done. We have a our compositors give us a few new versions of effects, updated backgrounds, new dragon rig and animation for shot 3 and 4, new pass of animation for the fish for shot 2 as well as an 2D effects test for shot 5, 6 and 7.
Composting
Our film is very heavy with compositing and effects. We are currently tightening up the comps, so here are some tests;

We realized mid-quarter that we needed to also add the 2D effects for the film. We have three shots with vfx and it was a struggle to find animators who were willing and able to complete these shots. Here are our tests for the shots that we have at this point:
