448: Rong Hui Phase 2 Presentation

This phase was an interesting one. Unfortunately, we lost our main background artist, in the midst of updates. We will miss them but we had to move forward.

We were able to get a new team lead over 2D. Hopefully we will be able to get things rolling for phase 3.


Below we have an update for shot 4's background.


We also worked more towards what the textures for the characters would look like. Below is a test directly from Maya render.

We are pleased with the direction these textures are in. We will be rendering from maya and overlay the color in after effects. Tests for that coming soon!


Next we turned our attention to looking for 2D FX and Animators. Ut was very difficult finding collaborators on this front and this caused a major delay in production. We were unable to get someone on the team until mid-week, but thankfully Leah was able to take on the task. Below is her draft of the 2D keys for shot 5!



We also sent notes to our animator for shot 7 so below is the update.
